Great Quotes

It does not take a majority to prevail... but rather an irate, tireless minority, keen on setting brushfires of freedom in the minds of men. ~Samuel Adams

Illinois Governor's Race, short pants and zingers...

I attended the Homer/Lockport/Joliet Tea Party Gubernatorial debate this evening and I have some thoughts to share. I know you've all been waiting breathlessly for my opinion on the candidates. Now that I've heard them, I can give it to you.

Five candidates showed up for this event. Bill Brady, Adam Andrzejewski, Dan Proft, Kirk Dillard, and Bob Schillerstrom.

Let's begin with who I hated. That would be Schillerstrom. I'm not really sure why he showed up. He claimed to know what the tea parties are about and who we are but then proceeded to tell us he's pro-choice and anti-conceal/carry. He almost got booed off the stage. Let me get this straight Bob; you favor the extermination of innocent human babies by their mothers but are against the extermination of criminals by armed citizens? Sounds like a crisis of conscience to me. Proving he is also not smarter than your average fourth-grader when asked from where our rights originate, he answered, "The People." This, of course, would be a surprise to Thomas Jefferson who wrote that we are "endowed by our Creator with certain inalienable rights..."
But I'll concede this to Schillerstrom; he had the integrity to give unpopular answers honestly. The other candidates all said what we wanted to hear and there's no guarantee they actually believe it. He still lost my vote.

Moving on to Dillard. I wouldn't say I hated his performance, but I hate guys like him. Career politicians. Been in the IL Senate for half my lifetime and with that much time, he hasn't created any significant change in IL politics or in the advancement of the conservative party or ideas. So why should I believe he's going to be a great conservative governor? Then it came up that he was in an Obama commercial endorsing the big zero! No thanks. His excuse didn't hold up. I don't care if Obama signed onto some ethics legislation you liked...the guy refused to vote to save infants from being left in a broom closet to DIE at IL hospitals. If that's not an ethics problem, I don't know what ethics means. Furthermore, for someone as pro-life as Dillard says he is, how could he endorse a person with so little respect for life that he would vote against a law to save a gasping, dying child? How do you shake hands with a monster like that let alone endorse him in a televised ad? Sorry Dillard. You also lose my vote.

The last three are a toss up for me. Brady is one of those career politicians that I don't like, but at the same time, he was more conservative than Dillard or Schillerstrom. But there's something very waxy about Brady. He's very polished and very smooth. He looks shiny. He does all the right things and says all the right things. He has very white teeth. Watching him speak is like watching every other candidate you've ever seen. Knows how to deliver a line, has a million memorized responses to every question under the sun. You're never going to catch this guy unprepared. But he's like a machine. There's something robotic about him. Something not so genuine. I didn't dislike him, I just kept thinking Stepford Wives and had a strange urge to check his back for the metal wind up key.

As unflattering as that description might sound, I could vote for Bill Brady. He might not be my first choice but he seems like a good man, a conservative man, and if he's the nominee then I will vote for him. But Bill, it wouldn't hurt you to tell a joke or say "um" once in a while.

Moving onto Adam A. Here's a tip. When your last name is Andrudiaewierueirfkjski, you might want to consider changing it for a public office run. How about Adam Andrews? But his name is not his biggest problem. Looking at Adam I got a protective feeling toward him. I was watching him fidget before the event and noticed him pulling at his socks...which were exposed nearly to the middle of his legs because his pants were too short. Adam has the exact opposite problem that Bill Brady has. He's clearly a regular guy. So regular you want to play Pictionary with him. I get a little brother vibe off Adam. I want to tousle his hair and punch him in the shoulder and take him shopping for longer pants and a better haircut. He's darling. I just wanted to give him a nooggie.

The IL Democrats will eat him alive, spit out his bones and do the Pasodoble on them. He had some great answers. He's a passionate guy. I loved him. But can he win? Not a chance. There was a moment when he and Proft got into a spat and let's just say that it didn't go well for Adam. And if you can't hold your own in a primary debate with friends, there is NO WAY you will stand up to what the enemy is going to throw at you. So Adam, I'm truly sorry to say I think you should drop out of the race and consider running against Mark Kirk instead for the Senate seat. That's a great place for you to start and get some experience in this game. And Kirk is a hideous RINO beast that must be defeated. I would 100% support you in that race. But call me first to help you pick out a new suit.

That brings me to Dan Proft. Proft definitely won the crowd. He was funny, quick on his feet, genuine, unrehearsed (or so good at it, it seemed unrehearsed) and brought me to my feet several times. I especially liked his comparison between IL politicians and the school bully demanding your lunch money at every turn. Exactly. If I could choose a candidate to run against Quinn, it would be Proft, but again...can he win? He's a little sarcastic. How will that play in the media? He'll make great soundbites. But they'll try to tear him apart. However, he's so quick with a comeback, they may not be able to and I like that. He's tough enough. That's what you have to be to make it in this town. I also thought he was believable. He echoed a lot of my own thoughts...Illinois isn't broken...it's FIXED! It's a racket! Then I went to his website and there's a section on there called "If the wig fits, wear it." LMAO...they're putting Blago's hair on people. Go look...it's hilarious. The best thing he said all night though was that we should pay state legislators in state bonds. Yes!

So congratulations Dan Proft. You not only won the debate but you may have won my vote. I say may because we have the others to consider. Jim Ryan is running, as is Andy McKenna. Neither showed up and so neither will be getting my vote, HOWEVER, if we don't narrow down this field we're going to end up with a Schillerstrom or a Ryan getting the nom because our votes are split between too many candidates. We have got to get together on this one and decide who we're going to support as a united group. If we allow our votes to go to all of them willy-nilly, it will just open the door for a "moderate" and we'll be in the same old situation.

So if any of you have any thoughts on this, I would love to hear them in the comments section below. To view the debate in its entirety click HERE

Random Thoughts

Have you ever had to take a break from the news? I find it's good for one's outlook to occasionally log off from Drudge, stop reading the news and turn off Fox just to enjoy God's blue sky and colors of fall. You'll find your smile. That's what I've been doing for a couple weeks so forgive me if I'm behind. There's just something about autumn that makes me want to read Keating and Yeats and leave the modern world behind.

We've all heard, ad nauseum, out of the mouths of feminists and on many a placard that the government should keep its laws off our bodies. This has been the winning argument in the abortion issue. This one idea has allowed women to destroy their own children with the sanction of our laws. BUT...this same government, that is terrified to try to tell a mother to grow up and BE a mother, is going to force the female health care workers of New York to be stabbed with a needle and injected with an untried, untested, possibly dangerous and unnecessary flu vaccine or lose their jobs. Where are the "my body, my business" people? Is it because Obama is the vaccine pusher? I have a feeling we'd have a lot more outrage if George Bush was threatening actual livelihoods over a procedure that should be your personal choice. But go ahead, Barry. Keep those unemployment rolls full! That should help us out in 2010 when we wipe the floor with your boys in the House.

Speaking of the election, have you ever had the feeling that your vote doesn't count? Maybe it's just me living in IL where my votes actually don't count because dead people are miraculously showing up at the polls.

Does anyone really care what the president looks like? Now he's too skinny? Huh? Who cares! What is he, a supermodel? Maybe it's just me, but I'm a little distracted by the socialist takeover of the private sector to be concerned with the president's waistline.

Two women who physically assaulted a 69-year-old abortion protester have been sentenced with 6 months of unsupervised probation and a small fine. One has to wonder what the sentence would be if two women assaulted a gay-rights protester and were prosecuted under our new hate crimes legislation. All pigs are equal, but some pigs are more equal than others...and speaking of pigs...

The divisiveness everyone talks about seems to be pretty made up to me. I live in a very blue state and yet I manage to get along just fine with my neighbors and even have good friendships with people on the other side of the political fence. I can't quite figure out why Nancy Pelosi thinks we're all ready to rise up and kill one another over her bonehead actions. I think what she's really afraid of is people, on both sides, are ready to rise up and throw her and others like her out of power. To cover this up, she seeks to paint more conservative folks with the crazy brush so no one notices the less conservative folks who are also steaming at the ears over her outright willful ignorance of their wishes.

On a personal note, music has always been a big part of my life until life got in the way. Recently, I've had the opportunity to get back into it again and some wonderful things are happening regarding songwriting and performance. I just want to share that if you have something you love to do, find the time to spend on it. The daily grind can become so all-consuming that we forget about taking the time to feed the soul the things it craves. Take the time! Find it! As a mom it's impossible not to be consumed with the children and their needs and their constant demands. I am not by any means the world's best mom. Most of the time I am just trying not to be the word's worst mom. But whatever it is you have passion for, do it once in a while if only to be an example to your children that they need to find their passions and their pursuits apart from you! (Can you tell I have Velcro children? lol)

I hope you are blessed in every way...now go out and enjoy this beautiful fall day!

Bite me, Jew-boy

In case you were wondering what side of the fence NBC is on in the ACORN vs. children sold into the sex trade, here's a little something to help you out. Americans for Limited Government sent out a standard press release to the networks urging Congress to defund ACORN in light of its highly illegal and immoral actions by encouraging and agreeing to help a prostitute set up a bordello full of child prostitutes. The press release was sent out by Alex Rosenwald, and in response to his email, he claims he received the message, "Bite me, Jew boy." from a Jane Stone at NBC. Stone is a producer at Dateline.

This story is NOWHERE. Not even on Drudge. It is possible that it is because it could be a hoax. NBC is claiming that the email was falsified and only time will tell if that's the case. If it is true, that someone doctored this email, it is reprehensible.

Check it out. CLICK HERE

NBC says her actual message said "Take me off this list." You can read their response HERE

I find it interesting that their defense is she was simply trying to get taken of the email list. She's a news show producer and this email was a press release. I guess if you're a conservative outlet you can't even get the networks to look at your press releases, let alone report them. However, I'm going to withhold judgment until the truth is revealed.

Creepy Lyrics

UPDATE: If the video isn't weird enough, check out the lyrics to this ridiculous violation of the 1st amendment rights of NJ students.

Barack Hussein Obama
He said that all must lend a hand
To make this country strong again
Mmm, mmm, mm!
Barack Hussein Obama
He said we must be clear today
Equal work means equal pay
Mmm, mmm, mm!
Barack Hussein Obama
He said that we must take a stand
To make sure everyone gets a chance
Mmm, mmm, mm!
Barack Hussein Obama
He said Red, Yellow, Black or White
All are equal in his sight
Mmm, mmm, mm!
Barack Hussein Obama
Yes
Mmm, mmm, mm!
Barack Hussein Obama

Then,

Hello, Mr. President we honor you today!
For all your great accomplishments, we all doth say “hooray!”
Hooray Mr. President! You’re number one!
The first Black American to lead this great na-TION!
Hooray, Mr. President something-something-some
A-something-something-to make our economy number one again!
Hooray Mr. President, we’re really proud of you!
And the same for all Americans [in?] the great Red White and Blue!
So something Mr. President we all just something-some,
So here’s a hearty hip-hooray a-something-something-some!
Hip, hip hooray! (3x)

Are you FREAKING KIDDING ME???? ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? Not only should that teacher be fired but she should be barred from ever teaching anyone anything again in the public school system. (And she should also have her poet's license yanked for some of the worst rhyming I've ever heard. One and na-tion? Weak.)

The principal of this school is now saying that this song was sung in celebration of black history month. The only problem with that explanation is that no other black people are mentioned other than Barack Hussein Obama, mmmm mmmm mmmm. How this principal, and countless others who keep doing this in public schools don't see a conflict of the 1st amendment by using federal funds to advance a political ideology is outright CRAZY. They're either the dumbest people on the planet or so bold in their goals of outright brainwashing the youth that they just don't care. They do seem to be in full F-You mode. They figure when the kids are in their care they can teach them whatever they want and you, the parent, won't know about it until it's already embedded in their little brains.

I would really like to hear from some Obama supporters admitting that this is a clear violation of free speech in America. Never should we force little children to sing songs of praise to any politician, president or not, in this great nation. Save the adoration for the national anthem. Hang his picture on the wall, talk about what it means to be president and how you too can be the president if you try hard (and raise 600 million dollars) but in the name of the U.S. Constitution DO NOT force little children to praise an agenda they know nothing about, and might not support if they knew what it was and might have serious repercussions to their future wealth! What kind of person thinks this is okay?

Did anybody notice the weird sieg heil hand thrust at the end? C-R-E-E-P-Y. Creepy. Barack Obama should come out against this nonsense if he wants anyone to believe he cares about freedom at all. I heard a great caller on Savage today say he thinks we should start a movement to deliver legislation that the people write to ensure SEPARATION OF CHILD AND STATE. This is a fabulous idea. Let's get on it, People.

The CREEPY Obama kids are back...

Just in time for Halloween, here is another classrooma at the B. Bernice Young Elementary School in Burlington, NJ full of impressionable youngsters that some leftist idiot has indoctrinated into worship of our Dear Leader. This makes my blood boil. If this happened when George Bush was in office it would have also made me angry...so please, no ridiculous comments about my double standard. Politics has NO BUSINESS in school. Unless we're talking about a civics class or some sort of learning event that is going to present both sides equally. But for little tiny children?

"Barack Hussein Obama is going to give everyone a chance"?

That's pure propaganda right there. Hey statist weirdos, when are you going to wake up and realize that HALF of this country not only didn't vote for this man but are 100% opposed to his philosophy of life and the way things should be? And it's our right! Half of us will not be teaching our children that it's okay to take a handout from the government, or that abortion is an acceptable form of birth control, or that America is a sh*tty place, or that competition is bad, or that boys can marry boys, or that people crossing the border illegally should be able to cut in line in front of the thousands waiting patiently, or that foreign terrorists deserve American rights, or that Christianity is evil and Islam is a beacon for women's rights in the world. There are a whole lot of things this president espouses that I, and half of this country, will NOT be imparting to our children. And for now, that is still our right. They're our children. Not Obama's. And as parents we have the right to teach them whatever we want! Teachers, on the other hand, do NOT have that right. Do you ever wonder why so many kids can't freaking read? It's no longer a mystery.

I highly suggest looking into home-school or private school for your kids. This kind of stuff is only going to get worse before we overthrow these socialist Marxists and send them back to the university teachers' lounges from whence they came.

Enough is Enough

From time to time some of you send me your thoughts and sometimes I print them (so keep that in mind when you send me stuff...anything you write may be used on my blog!) Today's opinion comes from Gregory Wilson, a very creative and talented right-minded American. He has created a product you all need in your pocket. I have one and I'm waiting for just the right moment to pull it out! Do not forget that the best way to defeat the liberal march is to expose the ABSURDITY of it all. This comes right in time to address the absurd comments of Jimmy the Idiot Carter claiming that all of us who show up at the Tea Parties do so out of racist rage. What a jackass. First we're Nazis, then astroturf, tea-bagging red-necks and now we're all RAAAAACISTS!!! You people need to make a stand today to say you are not going to be intimidated into silence because of outrageous and FALSE allegations. Promise me that if anyone calls you a racist to your face you will throw that word right back at them and hand them Greg's new product.

Check it out. And Greg, we need a photo of the back of the card...which is equally funny and absurd.

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH by Gregory Wilson

If we truly want to bridge the gap of our differences to embrace a new vision of race in America, then we need to seriously value excellence, merit, education, achievement, initiative and personal responsibility—all the while viewing the world without race-tinted glasses.

Only then can we see the idealism that race is but a negligible human difference in God’s great providence. But we’ll never win the war of racism if we have a life-long preoccupation with it, or continually feel that exercising power over it appears to be racist itself.

That said, this card was specially designed to take deliberate aim at the underhanded hypocrites who brazenly exploit America’s exhausted and exaggerated racial situations with their duplicitous rhetoric. This card calls utmost attention to the race-hustlers who angle for unfair advantage by dealing this card from the bottom of the deck in a largely post-racist era.

Through the technique of scorn and satire, the goal of this card is to expose the incorrigible imposters (Jackson, Sharpton, Farrakhan, Wright and Gates Inc.) for who they are and how they operate.

But don’t expect immediate reformation or transracial advancement from these shameless and shady shakedown artists. The last thing they want in their distracting sideshow is to facilitate any kind of social or psychological liberation. These blatantly craven race-baiters have an intensely vested interest in hate doctrine, racial disharmony and human suppression.

The simple truth and silent reality is that they profit from a grievance culture through the promotion and perpetuation of past traumas and flagrant fear mongering.

Bottom Line Solution: We need to get past our past and look to a future without the crippling self-indulgence of a victimhood and entitlement mentality. We need to refuse these false and fraudulent paradigms that corrupt our judgment, causing us to interpret everyday difficulties through a distorted and myopic lens of racial antagonism.

In other words, put The Race Card down and step away from the deck!
