This is what passes for good legislation these days. Cap and Trade taxes. For those of you living under a rock, this is the Global Warming (or is it "Climate Change" now that everyone is freezing to death in June?) nonsense bill being rushed through congress as my furious fingers type. They're going to put a cap on how much carbon dioxide everyone is allowed to emit. (That's right...learn to breathe less). The companies will be the first to suffer this ridiculous directive...and of course they will pass the expenses of having to buy "carbon footprint credits" right on to you, the consumer. This is a brilliant plan very similar to every plan the Democrats have. TAX THE @!$? OUT OF EVERYONE. Of course they call it "tax on the rich", but then the rich simply raise the prices on the goods they provide the consumer and the consumer pays. (That's YOU, for the Obama voters out there...YOU...even the ones who voted for him) Here's an excerpt from the WSJ about what this will actually do to the economy (vs. what the Democrats say it will do to the economy which is "everyone will dance with joy, the oceans will recede, the markets will soar, the poor will get rich, the rich will die a horrible death, and Christopher Reeve will return from the dead!")
The hit to GDP is the real threat in this bill. The whole point of cap and trade is to hike the price of electricity and gas so that Americans will use less. These higher prices will show up not just in electricity bills or at the gas station but in every manufactured good, from food to cars. Consumers will cut back on spending, which in turn will cut back on production, which results in fewer jobs created or higher unemployment. The Statists (I've stopped calling them liberals since reading Liberty and Tyranny...go get it now) are determined to return us to the dark ages. We will literally be reading by candlelight soon. Your government is about to FORCE you to use less electricity and gas by hiking up the rates so high, you won't be able to buy it. How are you going to get to work? How are you going to heat your house? We're all going to be tearing up our wood furniture and burning it soon to keep warm. This is what the Statists want for you. They want you destitute, freezing, cut off from all communication, while they rape and pillage the country's wealth for themselves. This is not crazy raving. This is what happens when countries go down this road to serfdom. We're taking all the right steps...there's no way this won't lead to the worst place you've ever been. I hope you're burning up the phone lines to Congress while you still have a phone and can afford the bill.

Feminists are supposed to stick up for all women...but a lot of women actually get left out of that category. Muslim women for one, billions of them who are being beaten and killed by the men in their lives and feminists are unwilling to talk about it because it conflicts with what they choose to believe about Islam. (That it is "peaceful" and that the women feel liberated by having to wear the hijab and not look any man in the eye) Feminists also fail bigtime when it comes to standing up for conservative women. The president's speech in Cairo was especially disturbing for many reasons, which we discussed on the show. Some of which included showing subservience to Islamic delusions of grandeur and giving credit for advances they had no part in, and even giving credit for American success to the Islamic world even though they had no part in it.

After the DOJ under Bush went after these guys on voter intimidation, the new administration headed up by Eric Holder (who calls himself an African-American even though his parents are from Barbados which is nowhere near Africa) recently dropped the case even though they had already won the case by default because none of the defendants showed up in court. Many sources are claiming the decision was purely political and in my opinion it's even worse than that. I think it's based on race. If these two were white guys in sheets doing the same thing, there's no way they wouldn't be prosecuted. Watch this clip of Bartle Bull, a liberal attorney who was a witness.

Today on Clash Radio I talked to Lila Rose from Live Action. Lila is an awesome college student who is shedding much needed sunlight on Planned Parenthood and their penchant for breaking the law. On numerous occasions and in several states, Lila has caught them (on camera) encouraging minors to cross state lines for abortions to avoid parental notification laws and refusing to report statutory rape and instead sending underage girls back to the arms of their molesters. If you've never seen what abortion really is, then you have no business voting for people who keep it legal. If you thought the media couldn't get any better at groveling, simpering and slobbering at the feet of Barack Obama, think again. This video just popped up of Brian Williams actually bowing to Barry the Great. These people have serious royalty envy. One of the things I love about conservatives is I don't know any of us who like the idea of royalty the way the libs do. They're constantly comparing the Kennedys to "royalty" or the Obamas to "royalty"...I say, screw royalty! I don't want a king handing out oppressive taxes and making me swear fealty while dining on wagyu steak and starving the peasants. (And our Founders clearly agreed with me.) Look at this idiot.
Add this to the news we received today of the media agreeing to give up their journalistic curiosity while in Saudi Arabia, by not leaving the hotel or doing any reporting on anything other than O's meetings. They wouldn't want to wander into town and find a woman or a homosexual being stoned to death by the world's most peaceful religion. How does one report that? Muslims engaging in violence? Never. Better to just stay in the hotel under orders from the Muslim guards at the door than face what some of us like to call "reality". This is being refuted by some Saudi source but there is major confusion on the issue. I'll guess we'll see what actually happens, but the White House is the source that warned the journalists not to leave the hotel...and the journalists complied!!!
Speaking of Muslims, the president of our country seems to be laboring under the false assumption that this country is one of the largest Muslim countries in the world. This goes right up there with thinking we have 57 states and that we are not a Christian nation. Does anyone, beside me, have serious doubts about the president's IQ? When over 80% of a nation considers itself Christian and less than 1% are reported to be Muslims, how does that translate to "one of the largest Muslim nations"? Pew Research says there are 2.3 million Muslims in this country. That is less than 1% of our population (.6% to be exact). And I'm supposed to believe that George Bush was stupid and this guy is a genius? I'm not good at math, but even I can see that .6% does not a majority make. Does no one question this guy? Does no one care about the truth?
Speaking of the truth, we are finally hearing about Obama's Muslim roots which, suddenly, he isn't trying to hide. Do you remember what people like me were called when we tried to point out during the election that they guy grew up a Muslim? (Crazed, racist, conspiracy theorists.) Do you remember the outrage at suggesting he's ever been anything but a Christian? Where is the outrage now?
