I Heart Angie Harmon

You know, I am constantly telling people not to listen to celebrities because they're all ignorant and should be entertaining us, but I'm going to make an exception. One of my biggest problems with the celebutards is that they refuse to think for themselves. But even among the bums in Hollyweird, sometimes you find a slugger who can hit one out of the park.

Angie Harmon is not afraid to come out and say she doesn’t like how President Obama is handling the job — but she’s sick of having to defend herself from being deemed a racist.

"Here's my problem with this, I'm just going to come out and say it. If I have anything to say against Obama it's not because I'm a racist, it's because I don't like what he's doing as President and anybody should be able to feel that way, but what I find now is that if you say anything against him you're called a racist," Harmon told Tarts at Thursday’s Los Angeles launch of the new eyelash-growing formula, Latisse. "But it has nothing to do with it, I don’t care what color he is. I’m just not crazy about what he's doing and I heard all about this, and he’s gonna do that and change and change, so okay … I'm still dressing for a recession over here buddy and we've got unemployment at an all-time high and that was his number one thing and that's the thing I really don't appreciate. If I'm going to disagree with my President, that doesn't make me a racist. If I was to disagree with W, that doesn't make me racist. It has nothing to do with it, it is ridiculous."

Speaking of dislikes, the starlet has also had enough of the double-standards in the media.

"I do think McCain would have done a better job, only because I think he has more experience. I also think if W or John McCain or Reagan would have gone and done a talk show, the backlash would have been so huge and in his face, and ‘What is our president doing? How unclassy!’ But Obama does it and no one says anything," Harmon said.

And in spite of the scornful opinions most of her Tinseltown counterparts have shared on Gov. Sarah Palin, Harmon remains a true fan.

"I admire any kind of woman like her. My whole motto is to know what I stand for and know what I don't stand for and have the courage to live my life accordingly and she does exactly that. The fact that this woman has made the decisions she's made and literally lived her life according to that and takes heat for it is absolutely disgusting to me," she added. "People cannot look at this woman. I really think they're afraid of her and her morals, ethics and values and the fact that she hangs on them. Is she the most experienced person in the world? But she was running to be the Vice President, so we then put the most inexperienced person as the President. That didn't make any sense to me." [source]

Hell to the YEAH, SISTA-SOLDIER! I couldn't have said it better myself. Ang, be prepared for your name to get added to that big black list in Tinseltown. But take heart! Talk radio is always hiring hot conservative chicks who can articulate like you can.

Chicago Tastes The Resistance

It sucks for the powers-that-be when the People start pushing back, especially when they mean it. Here in my hometown of Chicago, the Windy City (so named for the blowhard politicians, not the lake-effect wind) the People have finally gotten fed up with the parking situation and are taking matters into their own hands by smashing and vandalizing the parking meters. These parking meters charge up to 12 quarters for ONE HOUR!!! (Not much better than the garages which charge about $7 an hour). It is a well known fact here that when a meter is broken, you don't have to pay it. I'm surprised it took this long to come to the conclusion that the easiest thing to do is BREAK THE METERS! YAYAH!!!! Now that's the spirit I know and love about Americans. How much BS are you all going to put up with? Apparently, the 11% sales tax didn't get it, or the near $1 a gallon gas tax, but Chicago draws the line at $3 an hour parking! Good for you Chicago. Now, if only someone could get up on a ladder and spray paint those red-light cameras. So you know, Chicago, Hawaiians revolted when their state installed cameras at the lights and they literally tore them down until the politicians decided they should forgo that stupid idea. Value your privacy and your rights not to be taxed for every minute of your lives!

Now, I realize, the city no longer owns these meters. But they should never have sold them to a private company in the first place. The minute they did, the prices skyrocketed and it has made it prohibitive to visit or live in Chicago if you have a vehicle. AND, the city is profiting off of the meters by retaining the right to write tickets for meter offenses. Any qualms I might have had about vandalizing private property went out the window when I saw the meter maids freaking out on the news. Anything to drive those big-bottomed witches batty.

Anyone who would like to know how to disable a meter without being obvious about it...try a little superglue on a quarter and shove it in the slot. (I got'cher back.)

More pork from the stimulus....bank paying consumers to see big budget Hollywood films with bailout funds. If it weren't for those wealthy taxpayers how would those poor Dreamworks execs survive?

Teen births are up and predictably the media is blaming Bush for supporting abstinence education. It has nothing whatsoever to do with the societal blessing upon single mothers, the Hollywood glorification of single motherhood, the cultural issues surrounding single motherhood in the black community (71% of all black births are out of wedlock), or the oversexualized media saturation on every tween program. No, no, like everything else, it's Bush's fault. It doesn't even matter that those abstinence programs are taught alongside the regular sex-ed. Just having the word abstinence uttered around teens causes pregnancy.

SHOCKER! Obama is the president and we still have homeless people! AND they're living IN THE CAPITOL! Let's see, the sea waters didn't recede, the bad weather didn't go away, my gas is still paid for by me, foreclosures are still happening and now even the homeless still exist. What kind of a freaking messiah is this guy?

USURPATIONS AND ABUSES....As I ponder the obvious gun grabs going on in my state and around the country I am amazed that our politicians can claim to know what our Founders intended and not be able to translate this sentence from Samuel Adams.

It's kind of hard to mistake that one.

Alright class, we're going to cover a lot today so go to the potty now, get your thinking caps on and pay close attention. First up, the DOD Directive creating the promised Civilian "Workforce" promised on the campaign by The One that no one really considered. When Obama said this...



...not many of you listened. See, I heard what he said. Did you? This is what I heard.



I guess no one really believed him or considered for what a national security force would be used. But I believed him and now here's the Department of Defense Directive creating this new "Civilian Workforce". (Is it just me or does the word "directive" give you the willies?) Why it's called a "workforce" is beyond me since its main objective is to be in combat. I ask you, why would we need more combat forces than the police, the National Guard, the Army, Air Force, Navy and Marines? Could it be because of the video I posted yesterday? Looks like someone might have an inferiority complex and some serious concerns about our fighting forces' loyalty.

This reminds me of Obama's Election Day thugs. Is this the kind of "security" force we can look forward to?



This brings me to a local discussion happening right now. Obama's Chicago, you may not know, has the toughest and most numerous gun laws in the nation. We are one of only two states left in the Union that does not allow conceal-carry legislation. Chicago and several surrounding suburbs have "hand-gun bans" which were just recently declared unconstitutional by the Supremes. This still has not swayed our illustrious Mayor, King Richard. (Who is surrounded by armed guards 24 hours a day. Also, note that our Aldermen also carry handguns on them everywhere they go but if you or I do it, we'll be sent to jail.) Gun laws in Obama's Chicago are only for the little people to follow.

A report came out stating that 26 school-aged children have been shot dead since the school year started. This has set off the predictable wailing mommies leaning on Jesse Jackson while he gets his face time under the hot lights of the cameras. He is again calling for a gun grab. Clearly, gun laws in Obama's Chicago don't work. No one has thought to ask the wailing and weeping mommies why they allowed their children to be out on the street at 2am. Or why, when asked to cooperate with police, people in these violence-soaked communities (mainly black) don't turn in the criminals whose bullets end up ripping through children. There is a stigma on "snitching" and no one wants to break the code. Now Jesse "Race-Baiter" Jackson is accusing the police of not doing their jobs...even though the people of these neighborhoods impede them whenever they arrest some meth-head doper and accidentally bruise a pinkie wrestling him to the ground. Some clown with a cell phone camera takes down the police force and sues the city, the cops lose their jobs and get painted as thugs forever. If you had a house and a family and a reputation as a good guy, would you want to risk it all to do hours of paperwork on a guy who is going to be bounced by an ACLU lawyer and never serve a day in the big house? Neither would I.

And while Obama's Chicago burns to the ground in a war zone that is claiming more lives than the insurgents in Iraq, the Democrats are whining about grabbing my guns. Guns that have never been used to harm anyone and would only be used to defend my families' and my life. (And possibly bag a deer when the grocery stores run out of food.)

Everybody thought I was crazy when I called Obama a socialist and was concerned he was a Communist. Everybody went nuts when the conservatives accused him of socialism during the campaign. You were all so sure he was going to be a "centrist" and a "moderate." I don't even really have to argue my case anymore, do I? From Drudge:

Caracas - Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez on Friday called upon US President Barack Obama to follow the path to socialism, which he termed as the "only" way out of the global recession. "Come with us, align yourself, come with us on the road to socialism. This is the only path. Imagine a socialist revolution in the United States," Chavez told a group of workers in the southern Venezuelan state of Bolivar.

The controversial Venezuelan leader, who taunted the United States as a source of capitalistic evil under former president George W Bush, added that the United States needs a leader who can take it to a "higher" destiny and bring it out of "the sad role that it has been given, as a murderous, attacking power that is hated all around the world."

Chavez said that people are calling Obama a "socialist" for the measures of state intervention he is taking to counter the crisis, so it would not be too far-fetched to suggest that he might join the project of "21st century socialism" that the Venezuelan leader is heading.

You know Chavez is a Communist right? Just checking. Maybe I'm not as advanced and cerebral as the rest of "the world" and the liberal elite, but when Communists praise my president, I get chills...and they're multiplyin'.

RNC-Heads still up their keisters

To my horror, Michael Steele, Chairman of the RNC, is continuing the Republican meltdown by going on the attack against Rush Limbaugh. It is hard to believe that when the real enemy is marching socialism across this nation faster than anyone has ever seen, Steele still finds time to trash Rush (one of the few sane, conservative voices left). Steele called Rush an "entertainer" and said his show is "incendiary" and "ugly." This comes after Rush's speech at CPAC over the weekend. The problem is, the speech was the best speech I have heard from anyone in this party since Ronald Reagan. You've all been complaining, "why can't the conservatives explain their position to the people in a simple and convincing way?" Well, listen to Rush's speech and tell me that's not what you've been waiting for.

What is a conservative?

Let me tell you who we conservatives are: We love people. When we look out over the United States of America, when we are anywhere, when we see a group of people, such as this or anywhere, we see Americans. We see human beings. We don't see groups. We don't see victims. We don't see people we want to exploit. What we see -- what we see is potential. We do not look out across the country and see the average American, the person that makes this country work. We do not see that person with contempt. We don't think that person doesn't have what it takes. We believe that person can be the best he or she wants to be if certain things are just removed from their path like onerous taxes, regulations and too much government.

What do we really believe?

We want every American to be the best he or she chooses to be. We recognize that we are all individuals. We love and revere our founding documents, the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence. We believe that the preamble to the Constitution contains an inarguable truth that we are all endowed by our creator with certain inalienable rights, among them life. Liberty, Freedom. And the pursuit of happiness. Those of you watching at home may wonder why this is being applauded. We conservatives think all three are under assault.

What is fairness?

We don't want to tell anybody how to live. That's up to you. If you want to make the best of yourself, feel free. If you want to ruin your life, we'll try to stop it, but it's a waste. We look over the country as it is today, we see so much waste, human potential that's been destroyed by 50 years of a welfare state. By a failed war on poverty.

We love the people of this country. And we want this to be the greatest country it can be, but we do understand, as people created and endowed by our creator, we're all individuals. We resist the effort to group us. We resist the effort to make us feel that we're all the same, that we're no different than anybody else. We're all different. There are no two things or people in this world who are created in a way that they end up with equal outcomes. That's up to them. They are created equal, given the chance - -

Who are the racists?

We don't hate anybody. We don't -- I mean, the racism in this country, if you ask me, I know many people in this audience -- let me deal with this head on. You know what the cliche is, a conservative: racist, sexist, bigot, homophobe. Excuse me, ladies and gentlemen of America, if you were paying attention, I know you were, the racism in our culture was exclusively and fully on display in the Democrat primary last year.

It was not us asking whether Barack Obama was authentic. What we were asking is: Is he wrong? We concluded, yes. We still think so. But we didn't ask if he was authentically black. We didn't say, as some Southern Christian Leadership Conference leaders said: Barack is not authentic, he's not got any slave blood. He's really not down for the struggle, but his wife is. So don't expect the race industry to go away. Southern Christian Leadership Conference -- you may not know this, because it wasn't reported in the Drive-By Media -- the racism, the sexism, the bigotry that we're all charged with, just so you across the United States of America know, and you'll see demonstrated here as the afternoon goes on, doesn't exist on our side. We want everybody to succeed.

You know why? We want the country to succeed, and for the country to succeed, its people -- its individuals -- must succeed. Everyone among us must be pursuing his ambition or her desire, whatever, with excellence. Trying to be the best they can be. Not told, as they are told by the Democrat Party: You really can't do that, you don't have what it takes, besides you're a minority or you're a woman and there are too many people that want to discriminate against you. You can't get anywhere. You need to depend on us.

Well. Take a look, someone has to say this -- I am thrilled for the opportunity to say it in my first national address to the nation -- and I'm going to touch on this in more detail in a moment, but this is just to get you thinking -- take a look at all the constituency groups that for 50 years have been depending on the Democrat Party to improve their lives. And you tell me if you find any. They're still complaining, still griping about the same problems. Their problems don't get fixed by government. And those lives have been poisoned. Those lives have been cut short by false promises, from government representatives who said don't worry about it, we'll take care of you. Just vote for us.

Why do we want Obama's policies to fail?

For those of you just tuning in on the Fox News Channel or C-SPAN, I'm Rush Limbaugh and I want everyone in this room and every one of you around the country to succeed. I want anyone who believes in life, liberty, pursuit of happiness to succeed. And I want any force, any person, any element of an overarching Big Government that would stop your success, I want that organization, that element or that person to fail. I want you to succeed. [Applause] Also, for those of you in the Drive-By Media watching, I have not needed a teleprompter for anything I've said. [Cheers and Applause ] And nor do any of us need a teleprompter, because our beliefs are not the result of calculations and contrivances. Our beliefs are not the result of a deranged psychology. Our beliefs are our core. Our beliefs are our hearts. We don't have to make notes about what we believe. We don't have to write down, oh do I believe it do I believe that we can tell people what we believe off the top of our heads and we can do it with passion and we can do it with clarity, and we can do it persuasively. Some of us just haven't had the inspiration or motivation to do so in a number of years, but that's about to change.

To call this speech "ugly"or "incendiary" is simply a lie. Mr. Steele, you owe us an apology. If you are not behind the principles laid out in this speech then you should resign today. If you are not behind advancing conservatism and stopping the march of socialism dead in its tracks then you have no business leading the party. If you are too scared of the race-baiters to call Obama what he is, a Marxist-socialist, then you have no business articulating what conservatism is. How can we trust you to lead this party back to its conservative roots when you are agreeing with a rabid media firmly in Obama's camp? The People, Mr. Steele, are righteously angry. Angry at our party who let us get this far into the socialist mire in the first place, and for allowing overspending for so many years, and protecting moderates who should have moved on years ago. If you think we're just going to allow you to continue the status quo, you are very wrong.
