Add this to the news we received today of the media agreeing to give up their journalistic curiosity while in Saudi Arabia, by not leaving the hotel or doing any reporting on anything other than O's meetings. They wouldn't want to wander into town and find a woman or a homosexual being stoned to death by the world's most peaceful religion. How does one report that? Muslims engaging in violence? Never. Better to just stay in the hotel under orders from the Muslim guards at the door than face what some of us like to call "reality". This is being refuted by some Saudi source but there is major confusion on the issue. I'll guess we'll see what actually happens, but the White House is the source that warned the journalists not to leave the hotel...and the journalists complied!!!
Speaking of Muslims, the president of our country seems to be laboring under the false assumption that this country is one of the largest Muslim countries in the world. This goes right up there with thinking we have 57 states and that we are not a Christian nation. Does anyone, beside me, have serious doubts about the president's IQ? When over 80% of a nation considers itself Christian and less than 1% are reported to be Muslims, how does that translate to "one of the largest Muslim nations"? Pew Research says there are 2.3 million Muslims in this country. That is less than 1% of our population (.6% to be exact). And I'm supposed to believe that George Bush was stupid and this guy is a genius? I'm not good at math, but even I can see that .6% does not a majority make. Does no one question this guy? Does no one care about the truth?

AND yes, that is considered a bow, if the camera wasn't there, I'm quite sure it would have been MUCH more than a bow, think kissing a male body part...
I don't know if I would strictly classify it as a bow but it was definitely a submissive posturing to Obama's "grandeur". It was an "as you wish, my master" kind of move.
I am not outrightly "anti-Muslim" but I find his pandering to his various audiences sickening. We're not Christian but we are Muslim! WTH?
He's supposed to serve the American people not other countries. I do not want to look to other countries for solutions. We are not "other countries". We are The United States of America.

I think my favorite part of the apology tour (part 2) was the praising of Muslim countries for being so "women friendly"....WHAT? just because India and Pakistan have women in leadership doesn't change the fact that women are regularly beaten and killed for minor infractions and sometimes nothing at all, based purely on the whim of their male superiors. It sickens me that this man we have to call president actually said the United States has futher to go in women's rights issues than Muslim countries. Is he high? What exactly are women not allowed to do here? I wish someone would tell me what this undetectable oppression of women is in this country...o let me guess...can't have an abortion past 8 months? What are we calling the oppressing of women's rights? I need examples. If you really want to see women being treated as second class citizens just go to any one of those "forward" Muslim countries the grand liar visited.
I am SO SICK of everyone bowing to this man - whether physically or just in the coverage he receives.
I'm even sicker of him bowing - physically and in his speech - to the whole world. He sickens me beyond words.
