Just for laughs...here's a hilarious video from CNN of a "reporter" harassing a protester with a baby and she acts like she's the one being attacked. I personally love her editorializing instead of listening to what the man has to say. Watch for the "Don't you know you qualify for a $400 tax credit?" LOL...why would we be protesting when the government is going to give us a whopping $400!!!
Is the irony being lost on everyone but me that CNN is declaring itself concerned about what is appropriate for "family viewing" while Anderson Cooper and other CNN hosts have been cracking jokes about "teabagging" during prime-time? (For those of you who are not familiar with obscure and disgusting homosexual practices....let's just say "teabagging" is something Anderson Cooper is very familiar with.)

I'm speechless.
Is there even a word for what is going on in the media and country in general?
I don't think "ignorance", "apathy", or "arrogance" cover it. I can't describe how disgusted I am with the reporting and "journalism" that's going on. It's some kind of intangible senselessness going on. A completely bewildering separation and rejection of reality. It's surreal to say the least. It's a bunch of adults in influential roles running around with their eyes closed and fingers in their ears screaming "I can't hear you or see you so you don't exist and I'm going to ignore you".
It's hard to talk when you're teabagging!!!! How do you say that on the news and not get fired.
I cannot believe what passes for journalism these days! The reporter clearly had an agenda, and tried to engage in a debate!
I don't remember debate being taught in my high school journalism class!
That CNN anchor is complete whack job! Liberalism truly is a mental disorder. Great interviews on your part!
Anderson Cooper's joke doesn't really impact "family viewing". Kids and even some adults wouldn't understand the second meaning so it would sound innocent, especially since the quip was said with a serious delivery in a serious discussion. The cartoons on the FOX network like the Simpsons and Family Guy have ruder double entendres all the time, and those are on network TV in prime time frequently with kids watching.
Anderson Cooper actually does a good job of staying neutral. The tea campaign thing just begs jokes, especially for a gay man (as you pointed out about him in your own off color joke). If liberals were holding some sort of campaign around tea and tea bags you can bet he would have made a tea bagging joke about them (and there would have been jokes from conservative commentators on FOX and elsewhere), it just happened to be conservatives. The fact CNN competitor FOX News was doing so much to organize the events and the historical allusion makes no sense (this is taxation by a democratically elected president in accordance with his election campaign platform, the opposite of taxation without representation) probably was part of the reason he made the joke, but if MSNBC had been hyping tea events that didn't make much historical sense it would have been the same thing.
If the tea parties succeeded in getting Obama to change back to Bush tax policies it would mean Anderson Cooper along with Olbermann, Hannity, O'Reilly and all the other guys on cable earning millions would pay less tax while the average joes at the tea parties would pay about the same or a bit more taxes, so it's really no skin off any of the cable news guys' noses personally.
The idea that Fox News had anything to do with organizing these parties is asinine. Where do you people come up with this? Because they're covering it? Because some of their opinion hosts like Hannity and Beck are publicizing them to their viewers? I have news for you. Not one of these Fox contributors started these movements. Every single one of them was started on Facebook by random voters, bloggers, and regular people. If this were some professionally done, paid and bought job by "corporate donors" etc...like is accused, why didn't we have a working microphone the first time? And why are all the signs handmade? You ever see a Code Pink protest? They all have professionally done, identical signs. They wear the same shirts...they PAY people to show up. There was none of that at any of these parties. Fox News is simply covering the movement without denigrating it. So to some of you it looks like they are "behind" it. Don't tell me that Anderson Cooper would make fun of liberals. Give me one instance where he has. Find a video of him making fun of a PETA protest or an Anti-War protest. Please find it and post it. And I don't believe for one minute that in this culture kids don't know sexual innuendo when they hear it. Thanks to Bill Clinton, every 3rd grader knew what a Lewinski was. So please, spare me from the rationalization. CNN has a lot of nerve attacking a man holding a baby and then accusing the people around him for speaking up on his behalf of being dangerous and un-family friendly while at the same time laughing on air about homosexual practices. Spare me your rationalization. I'm so tired of it. Go sell crazy on the Huffington Post. I'm all stocked up here.
