Great Quotes

It does not take a majority to prevail... but rather an irate, tireless minority, keen on setting brushfires of freedom in the minds of men. ~Samuel Adams

Tea Parties Need New Identity

Okay. I've had it. I can't listen to or read one more mischaracterization of the so-called "Tea Parties" for one second longer. We need a new name. Those of us with any intelligence at all know that the name "Tea Party" is simply symbolic of the revolutionary spirit our Forefathers had and used to form this great nation. Our enemies though, have taken our wit and turned it into idiocy. Naming our protests after the Boston Tea Party has allowed the media to categorize what we are doing as simply an "anti-tax protest". No, we don't like high taxes...but taxes are not what the protests are solely about! Let me articulate for you amoebas out there what people are so angry about.

1. That our government has grown so large and so overreaching that it can pass trillion dollar legislation without our consent, our support or even a debate.

2. That the government can put your name on a watch list for having a bumper sticker that espouses a conservative viewpoint.

3. While the market crashes, the current administration and the one before it is abandoning the free market principles that made this nation great for socialist market principles that will surely bring us to our knees in a matter of a few short years.

4. The current congress and administration is doing everything they can to create class envy between rich and poor while growing FAT on tax dollars, flying in private jets payed for by taxpayers, retiring on the taxpayers, getting free health care paid for by the taxpayers, while screwing the same taxpayers who make their lifestyles possible. When is this nation going to wake up and realize who the really "evil rich" are? CONGRESS!!

5. Creating more dependence on the working, taxpaying population is only going to decrease the taxpaying population leading to more dependence on the unfortunate few who are going to be left to carry the water for all the deadbeats. Eventually, all the producers are going to quit. Then where will all you leeches get your blood?

This movement has FAR LESS to do with taxes than it has to do with the REJECTION OF TYRANNY. We need to take our individualism and control back from the usurpers in the government. And that goes for ALL OF THEM. Democrats AND Republicans should be running for cover by the time we're through with them. We need to fundamentally change the way Congress operates. We need to slash their salaries in half and take away their ability to vote themselves pay increases, slash their staffs in half, take away all perks like jets and first class rides, cars, retirement packages, free health-care and IMPOSE TERM LIMITS. We need to make being a Congressperson about SERVING THE PEOPLE AND NOT THEMSELVES. We need to make that job a job of SACRIFICE to keep the creeps out. We need to stop the insanity of campaigns! NO MORE MONEY FOR CAMPAIGNS. Let NPR and PBS be non-stop election outlets during campaign season and give away their time to every candidate for free. There has to be a better way, people! We have got to overhaul Congress. The way it currently operates is unacceptable.

And another thing. I'm not happy with the Ron Paul movement trying to take over these protests. We conservatives need to come to an agreement that we are TAKING THE REPUBLICAN PARTY BACK. We are not going to give our support to 3rd parties who CAN'T WIN. And let's be honest. Ron Paul's stance on war is naive and infantile. America will not be safe if our policy is to never enter into war. That is a childish, liberal fantasy that will never work in the real world. Ron Paul is not the answer. The answer is to KICK OUT the RINOS in the party. McCain, Steele, Snowe, Collins, Spector, Graham, Gingrich (sorry Newt...but your views on Global Warming have signed your death warrant for a leadership position) and anybody else in the party that will not tow the CONSERVATIVE line. There is NO ROOM in our party for people in leadership who call themselves "moderates" but are just closet liberals. If you want to vote for the Republicans as a "moderate", you are welcome. But don't run for office, we won't elect you. THAT'S where our focus should be.

I hereby submit to you the following new names for our ongoing protests:

The Capitalist Revolution
The Fiscal Responsibility Tour
The Tar and Feathers Brigade
Throw the Bums Out Protest
Anti-Congress Movement
Revolution 2010

It's time to more clearly define what it is we want to happen through this process. It's not about taxes. It's about the tax MAN.

Mark Levin (http://www.marklevinshow.com/) made an outstanding clarification on his program yesterday. He said we do NOT live in a country where we have a lower class, a middle class, & a higher class. In a classist society, one's destiny is determined by one's class. We live in a free market democracy where one's (social) destiny is determined by how much one is willing to work & contribute, whether one is satisfied with one's life at any level of economic status. In this country, it is possible to move from economic scarcity to economic plenty by one's own effort & energy! And to move from wealth to poverty by one's one irresponsibility. That's not classism, that's freedom.

He's only wrong on one point. We do have a class system, only it's between the private sector and the public sector. The government is the evil oppressor while the private sector are the slaves, toiling for the comforts of the oppressor.

Once again, Megan, you are spot on. And thanks for bringing up the Ron Paulions!! I said the same thing to my husband, we were at the Appleton, WI rally, and there was 2 of them of course RIGHT next to me, and they were so busy trying to get people to listen to them, they were hampering mine and others efforts to listen to the speakers we came to hear. They really ticked me off. Sorry if I offend anyone, but Ron is a nutbag in my view, and we don't need his tinfoil theories in our way. And, while I am longwinded here, I ALSO couldn't agree more, it's time to expand this, forget the Tea stuff now, that was just a start.

Yes we need to change the Tea Party name. We should have figured that the socialist would take something good and turn it into something like a hate America protest. I think RTTP, Rejection of Tyranny Tea Party. If ya leave Tea Party out they'll say, they changed the name to make more people think there right, when accually we need to tell them that-no we change it hoping you ignorant asses can understand what the hell your doin to our country.

It's not really a problem if the liberal media can't figure out what this is all about, is it? Let them attack us with ignorant comments. That just makes us stronger, because they are attacking a lot of smart Americans who get it, and don't like being told what to think by the media. They want professional journalism, and are fed up with the lack of it.
