Great Quotes

It does not take a majority to prevail... but rather an irate, tireless minority, keen on setting brushfires of freedom in the minds of men. ~Samuel Adams

Throw Away the Key

If I hear one more whining politician begging to commute former Governor George Ryan's sentence, I will scream. First of all, let me just say that he should ROT in jail. Leave it to Dick Durbin to get in front of the cameras and whine about Ryan's sad financial situation and his wife's ill health. Well, maybe Ryan should have thought about the possibility of life behind bars before he decided to illegally sell drivers' licenses that led to the deaths of 6 children. Yes, Ryan is a Republican. No, that does not change my opinion. A bad guy is a bad guy regardless of the letter behind his name. In my fantasy life, where I am the president, I don't commute anyone's sentences at the end of my term. I do a press conference instead where I tell people to be careful with the choices they make in life because bad choices end up delivering bad consequences. This is the nature of life and reality.

This country is quickly turning into a place with no consequences for the wicked and unfair consequences for the innocent. Consider the financial crisis. Those responsible people who are not behind in their mortgages are going to suffer under a recession caused by those who can't or won't pay their mortgages and who aren't even going to lose their homes for it! The innocent tax payer is suffering each massive bailout going to CEO's who still fly private jets! A woman who can't abide the consequences of her actions is allowed to murder the helpless unborn child within her for her own convenience. A murderer who had a lousy childhood gets mercy when his innocent victims did not. People who don't pay any taxes at all get paychecks from the ones who do. This place is becoming parasitic. There is only a short period of time left before all the innocent are going to get sick of being the host to the bloodsuckers. What will happen then? Will Atlas shrug?

I guess we'll see. But in the mean time, lets keep one guilty-as-sin perpatrator behind bars, shall we?

Random Thoughts

  • I haven't had much to say lately. I've just been browsing and reading. Here's an article by Pat Buchanan that every one of you people who keep willfully misunderstanding Marxism/socialism should read. And please spare me the attacks on Buchanan. Just read the article and pretend it was written by someone you don't think is a Nazi.

    PLEASE DO SO NOW.
  • I also have been highly alarmed at the rumors going around about people being dragged into questioning for "statements" made about Obama. A story I read the other day, which has now mysteriously disappeared but I know I wasn't dreaming, had someone arrested for making "statements" on their MySpace page about Obama...but the statements were not racial in nature and they also did not specify if they were threatening. This leads me to wonder if they were simply critical. Is that where we're headed? Is criticizing the new Overlord of America going to be a crime now? Scary. If I disappear... Obama did it. Call someone.

  • What the hell is up with David "Sarah Palin is a fatal cancer" Brooks? He and Peggy Noonan have got to go. I wish they'd just go over to the dark side already and make it official with a big fat "D" after their names. I don't want to claim either of them anymore. I sometimes wish all media types had to wear their latest political vote around their necks so we could all see which point of view they're coming from. I'm tired of the subterfuge.

  • And can we make the "moderate Republicans" get their own party already? Instead of the real conservatives who make up the majority of the Republican party leaving, let's make them go and start their own 3rd party destined to lose in every election going forward.

  • Thanksgiving is coming. That wonderful time of year when we get together with relatives and yell at each other. I feel sorry for anyone who has a politically mixed family. Luckily for me, there are only one or two, who generally keep quiet for fear of being forced to sit outside to eat their turkey in the snow. Okay, that's harsh. We don't really do that. We would simply give their dinner to someone else who wants it in the spirit of spreading the wealth. I'm looking forward to any Thanksgiving tales of choking gloating in-laws over the election...so please email me your stories. I'll post them. :) I won't have any myself. My in-laws are sane.

  • Thanksgiving reminds me of Christmas. Did you know there's Christmas music 24/7 already in every store and on 93.9 The Lite? I thought that would annoy me, but I'm loving it. How much do you want to bet that the lawsuits against Christmas carols in public schools will begin on December 1st?

  • A friend of my husband's was told by a gun shop owner in Missouri not to bother applying for a conceal carry permit. He heard through the grapevine they are losing their conceal carry rights soon. Hmmmmm...wonder if it coincides with inauguration day? I predict a widespread crime wave in the states that lose their conceal carry rights. It's a free-for-all for felons! Go get those innocent victims! They won't be armed!

  • I'm sure some of you wonder why I call myself the Intolerant Fox. I used to have an explanation on the page but it was too long. So I'll explain it again. Liberals think that tolerance is the Holy Grail. It is what they strive for, so they say. They want us to be tolerant of all forms of nonsense. Gay marriage, trannies barging into churches and grossing out the congregation while shouting "JESUS was GAY", art displays of elephant dung spread over a painting of the Virgin Mary, art displays of Christ soaking in urine, fire-bombing of animal testing sites, pedophiles who start clubs for pedophiles, guys on death row....and yet, they cannot tolerate the sweet sound of Silent Night sung by 3rd graders in a public school. It's truly absurd. So I'm just saying it the way it is. I am intolerant of their intolerance. I simply won't stand for it. If I have to put up with Jesus Christ depicted in a jar of urine for the sake of "art", then I think they can stand to hear little children singing about that same Christ in a positive way.

  • What's with the Queer-Terrorists? A friend of mine and I argue about this constantly. He says, they simply want to be legally recognized by the state and granted the same rights as married couples. Yet, in California, where civil union was recognized prior to all this gay marriage brouhaha, they weren't satisfied! They do NOT want recognition by the state, they want recognition by the CHURCH! And they want to take the word marriage and include themselves in the definition. It's as if they now want the word "red" to mean "red and blue". A majority of Americans are perfectly willing to grant the gays civil unions that would afford them all the benefits of marriage. What we will not do is give them a tradition to stomp all over. It should tell you something that they will not take this offering. It isn't equality they are after, but infiltration into institutions that have every right to resist. We are not willing to accept their rewrite of the Bible. Sorry, Princess...take that argument and your fierce attitude somewhere else. Would you explain to me why you have to have the word "marriage" attached to your gay union? What's next? Are the Wicans going to insist we tear out the pages in the Bible about witchcraft being a sin too? How about the adulterers? I bet they'd love to get church sanction on their activities. Or how about cheating CEOs? Should we just scratch out that commandment too? Where does it end? Where's the tolerance for religious freedom? Only you can have religious freedom...but not me? Oh right, because I'm a Christian. You know, as a Christian, I should add, I've got nothing but love for the queer community. They're God's children too...but I disagree folks. Take it how you will. I disagree, strongly. Let's respect each other's traditions okay? I won't try and stop your Oscar night bashes and Rosemary Clooney tribute parties if you don't try to rip marriage traditions to shreds okay? (fyi, I've been to both of those events in the homes of my gay friends, btw, and they were pretty fabulous.) I know I'm going to be misunderstood here, so let me head it off. I have gay friends who are dear to me. I am no homophobe. And anyone who accuses me of being one is willfully ignoring my words. I agree that gay couples should have equal rights under the law. I simply do not agree that the word "marriage" should be used to define what that law shall be called. I also do not agree with forcing any Bible-believing church to rewrite their beliefs to make gays feel better about themselves. If you can't feel validated and worthy on your own, with the sanction of the state, then you need psychological help that the church might be able to provide. So maybe visit one in a non-threatening, non-weapon-weilding way and talk to someone about your unresolved anger.

I guess I had more to say than I thought.

Campaign Letter Update

fyi...No response from the McCain campaign but I have not received another letter from them either. I've probably been put on a list to be audited too. LOL

GOP: Proud of Defeat!

This morning, I got an email from the McCain campaign that had me ready to hurl within 5 minutes. Here's the first couple of lines I could barely get through without gagging.

"McCain Team,
You should all be incredibly proud. I am sincerely grateful to all of our supporters, volunteers and staff for the tireless effort you put into John McCain's and Sarah Palin's Presidential Campaign. Despite the enormous headwinds we encountered, our organization and supporters remained resolute. We fought the good fight. "

It is unbelievable to me that these people want us to be incredibly proud of their ridiculous and mismanaged campaign. Yes, let's be proud that we we're "honorable" losers. Let's be proud that to avoid being called a "RAAAAAAACIST" McCain refused to inform the American people of the Jeremiah Wright, Farrakhan, Ayers, Dohrn, Rezko, AND illegal drug CONNECTIONS. This failure to use the plethora of information available to us in order to WIN an election is nothing to be proud of. Because of this failure, the American public has been hoodwinked...that's right, HOODWINKED by Obama and his opium cloud of mystery. The fog is going to lift in the next few years and the people who figure it out are going to be more than a little annoyed that no one told them this guy is further left than Castro.

I couldn't help myself. I had to respond, and here it is for your reading pleasure.

Dear Mr. Davis,
Don't pat yourselves on the back too hard. You lost the election, and it was needless. You spent way too much energy trying to be "honorable" and not enough energy on trying to win. The American people are going to suffer through at least 2 years of liberalism and socialism run amok and it's YOUR FAULT. So don't tell me how proud you are or how proud I should be. I'm disgusted. Your campaign was a disaster from the beginning and your only good move was finding Sarah Palin...and now you're trashing her. Senator McCain has lost my respect for not standing up for her. She worked her heart out for your campaign and this is the thanks she gets? Her only mistake was signing up with a losing campaign full of people who had no intention of winning. You got outspent, outsmarted and outworked. It's NOTHING to be proud of and I hope none of you ever work for a Republican campaign again! That's what America gets for running a wishy-washy "reach-across-the-aisle" liberal-leaning Senator like John McCain anyway. It was a failed venture from the beginning. Give us a real conservative next time or prepare to LOSE AGAIN. When you reach across the aisle to Democrats, they break your arm. When you walk across party lines...they break your legs. WHEN WILL YOU PEOPLE LEARN???? We're not interested in "getting along" with Democrats. We're interested in advancing CONSERVATISM in our nation. That means DEFEATING liberalism wherever it is. You people have failed conservatism over and over again. It's time to purge this party of all of you who don't understand what our objective is. DEFEATING LIBERALISM. Now please remove me from this mailing list. I have no desire to be reminded of this humiliating defeat on a daily basis.

Sincerely,

Megan Fox

The Death of Racism in America?

I fully expect Jesse Jackson to retire as the anointed Race-Baiter Blame-Warden. There is now no evidence of racism in America. Unquestionably, the President of the United States is the most powerful person in the world. Now that Americans have elected a black man to that position, I no longer want to hear from Jesse Jackson about the oppressed black people. The most depressing thing for me was the differences in the crowds for Obama vs. McCain last night. The Republicans have failed miserably to take our case to the black community. Throughout our history, the Republican party has been on the right side of Civil Rights and yet we get painted as racists and we cannot get any support from blacks or other minorities. This is largely the media's fault. They will not report truthfully on the history of our parties.

In 1964, when the Civil Rights bill was going through congress, the Democrats were filibustering. Robert "KKK" Byrd, a Democrat, was on a 14 hour bender on the floor, lobbying against the bill. (Not surprising for a Grand Kleagle in the KKK). But it wasn't just Byrd who wanted to kill the Civil Rights Bill. Democrats voted in favor of the Civil Rights Act by only 61% in the house and 69% in the senate. Republicans, however, voted in favor of it by 80% in the house and 82% in the senate. What that means, for those of you who can't do math, is that there were way more racists on the Democratic side of the aisle than on the other.

You know that clip we always see of black protesters being assaulted by a fire hose? That was the work of Bull Connor, another Democrat and member of the KKK. How do these people get the image of being on the side of black people???? Every time you see that clip in the next few weeks, keep in mind that DEMOCRATS did that.

It was the Democrats who decided to talk down to the black communities and hand out welfare willy-nilly, effectively breaking up the black families by making fathers not only unnecessary, but an actual impediment to receiving a government check. It was Democrats who put black people in ghettos and called it "Public Housing". It was Democrats who set up Planned Parenthood abortion mills all over these ghettos to exterminate the black race just like Margaret Sanger planned. It is the Democrats who promise to lift the black people out of the ghettos every election year, and when they win, they disappear and the black people remain in the ghettos.

If there is one positive in this whole debacle of electing a socialist simply because he is black, let us HOPE that it will CHANGE the black mentality that America is a racist nation where they are not given the same opportunities as everyone else. There is no longer any excuse. There are no longer any Republicans to blame!

Speaking of blaming Republicans...I blame them/us for not getting our message out to minorities in this nation. We do not want to keep you down. We want you to be as rich as you want to be. We want to clear the government out of your way so that you can achieve your greatest dreams. But we will tell you, you're going to have to work for it! There are no free lunches! That's not life! And if we start giving away everything we can, no one will achieve their dreams because there will be limits to how high you can go. That is oppression. That is not freedom. Barack Obama's American Dream ends at $150,000 a year. Is that your dream? To make $150,000 a year? Don't bother dreaming to make $2 million a year under Obama, because you will be required to give up more of your dream to make someone else's come true. And maybe that someone else just doesn't want to get a job. Or maybe they can't keep a job because they're always late. But it won't matter, they will still get your earnings because they need it, and you don't, regardless of the inequality of your sacrifices versus theirs.

The Democrats effectively keep the black people poor and miserable by stifling their drive and motivation to get ahead by giving them just enough to get by. Is that what you want? Government cheese? The Democrats tell blacks constantly, you cannot make it on your own, you need our help, just vote for us first and then you'll get it. But then they never truly help! Why haven't they supported school choice? They have left black students who have a chance to learn something other than gang life languishing in failing public cesspool schools because they WILL NOT allow them to go to a thriving school. That's segregation. (Not surprising, considering they are the party of segregation.) And they send their children to expensive private schools. Their children never have to see an inner-city school let alone try to learn in one.

Democrat ideas have done NOTHING for black people, except keep them down and out and yet they hold an almost magical hold over them. I can only hope that the next 4 years will awaken some of them out of the stupor of the Democrat potion. The Democrats are no friends of the black community.

How to Have a Stress-Free Election Day

This morning in church, my pastor preached about stress. He's doing an entire series on it. (Perhaps he read my article a few days ago about being PESSD.) The message was constructed around Matthew 11:28-30;

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."

We were encouraged, no matter what we are dealing with or what we are carrying, to give it to Christ and let Him carry it for us. That's a pretty tall order when a lot of us are going to be sitting on the edge of our couches, biting our nails and twitching with each blue and red state win. It is easy to get so caught up in this, the ultimate American beauty pageant, and forget the truth. Those of us who know the truth, who embrace it and follow it, know that God is in His heaven and all is right with the world no matter what is happening on our TV screens. If we believe that the will of God is an active, tangible thing, then after we have worked as hard as we can and done all we can, we can rest on the shoulder of God and face tomorrow.

I'm glad to have heard that message today because I have a tendency to become a bundle of nerves. To feel as if we are all on the edge of a precipice that only I can see and half of you are about to step off. And so I try to convince you, cajole you, entertain you, inspire you, all with the hope of advancing these conservative ideas I feel are so paramount to our future. But in the end, on November 4th, I must believe whoever is elected is part of a Grand Design of which I have no understanding. In the words of Sarah Palin, I pray that we do the will of God. Neither Obama nor McCain is a savior. Neither can save mankind from his despair, sin, evil, poverty, injustice or vices. Of course, I would argue intelligently that some men can make advances in fighting against these things while others promote them, but the only savior is Jesus Christ. All men will fall short and will dissapoint.

I can hear the firey preachers of my childhood saying, "Fix your eyes on God. Come to the cross and lay down your burdens." And so I go, and put down my anxiety and my annoyance with liberals, my fear of dark futures and my requests and pleas. I straighten up, feeling lighter, maybe even thinner, and I go outside and enjoy the fall color. Have you seen it this year? It's heavenly. I'm off to rake leaves, in which my daughter will delight with wonder and rosy cheeks. She is my constant reminder that the Creator is near and all is well.
